Chamaedorea elegans, commonly known as the parlor palm or neanthe bella palm, is a small palm tree native to the rainforests in Southern Mexico and Guatemala. It is highly popular as a houseplant due to its small compact size, attractive arching green pinnate leaves, and ease of care. Plant in rich, well drained soil for best results. Performs best in bright, indirct light, but will also tolerate fairly low light conditions. It is not known to be toxic to humans or animals.. Mature Size: 2-6′ x 2-3′ after 10 years.
